The following people appeared in La Crosse County Circuit Court:
Jason Baker, 34, of West Salem and Corey Stern, 31, of 410 Hinkley Road each were charged Tuesday with possession of methamphetamine as party to the crime and as a repeat offender. Baker also was charged with maintaining a drug trafficking place as party to the crime and as a repeat offender and Stern with possession of narcotic drugs and drug paraphernalia, both as party to the crime and as a repeat offender. Police found both men with heroin and Stern with heroin at Baker’s apartment on Nov. 21, according to the complaint.
Benjamin Walter, 31, of Onalaska was charged Tuesday with strangulation, false imprisonment, two counts of disorderly conduct, misdemeanor battery, criminal damage to property, felony intimidation of a victim and possession of THC and drug paraphernalia. Walter on Nov. 10 punched and choked a woman and refused to let her call police before officers found him with a pipe and marijuana, according to the complaint.
