Needles found in candy passed out in Arcadia on Halloween

Arcadia police are investigating two cases where trick-or-treaters received candy laced with sewing needles.

The needles weren’t detected until the candy was opened and broken in half, according to police.

The candy was passed out between 3 and 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Police encourage parents to inspect their candy collected during trick-or-treating.

Anyone with information on the case is asked to call police at 715-538-4351.
