Franciscan Spirituality Center offers new grief support programs

The Franciscan Spirituality Center, 920 Market St., is offering two support programs for those who are grieving:

  • Healing Through Creative Grieving: Creating Art to Inspire, Honor and Remember a Loved One will take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17. Presenters are Charlene Peterson, hospice chaplain for Gundersen Health, and the Rev. Corinne Thul, staff chaplain at Mayo Clinic. Cost is $85, which includes lunch and all materials/supplies. No artistic experience is necessary, just a willingness to move through your loss and tap into your creative side.
  • Growing in the Midst of Grief will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8. Presenters are Lesley Stugelmayer, retired Viterbo University counselor, and Jean Pagliaro, FSC program and retreat coordinator. Cost is $45, which includes lunch.
