The Franciscan Spirituality Center, 920 Market St., will host a discussion about death and dying from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 23. The first “Death Cafe” was offered in the United Kingdom in 2011, and the idea has since spread across the world.

Local physician Dr. Jackie Yaeger will facilitate this group-directed discussion. According to event organizers, this is a discussion group rather than a grief support or counseling session.

Coffee, tea and snacks will be served, and donations will be accepted.

For more information, call 608-791-5295 or go to www.fscenter.org by April 20 to reserve your spot.
