The African American Mutual Assistance Network will host the fourth annual Juneteenth Citywide Celebration from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, at the Southside Neighborhood Center, 133 S. Sixth St., and Poage Park.

The event will commemorate the 155th anniversary of the issuance of the Emancipation Proclamation.

The event includes music, free food from Piggy's Restaurant for the first 150 attendees and re-enactments of the Enduring Families Project African American Living History Bus Tour.

Other features include basketball handling for kids, vendor booths and representatives from local organizations, including the League of Women Voters and La Crosse County Democratic Party.
