Cathryn Dagendesh and Adam Faeth, both La Crosse artists, added some color to State Road on Thursday after hearing about the racist graffiti painted on a local business’ garage.

“There’s just too much hate in the world and we believe in everybody being happy and working together,” said Dagendesh.

Cathryn Dagendesh and Adam Faeth, La Crosse artists, paint a mural Thursday on garage door that was vandalized with racist graffiti Feb. 6.

Faeth was upset with the news when he woke up one morning and decided it was an opportunity to do something.

The mural on the Bullet Cab garage door that was vandalized Feb. 6 consists of various shapes and colors, along with the phrase “Hate has no place here,” said Dagendesh.

Both artists received support from several passersby, and the artwork should be done in time for Friday’s interfaith rally.

This has worked out well. Great for mike, especially. So much so
I wonder if he did the graffiti in the first place.

It's really sad that this happened, but people are reacting as if someone was found swinging from a tree.

This is awesome. As long as the paint and labor are donated and not publicly funded.

Good job people! Now I'm hopeful that someone will come along and spray paint more hateful graffiti on other parts of the building. Then maybe these artists will come back to give the rest of that ugly building a new paint job. [wink]
