Michael Sam speaking at UW-La Crosse

Michael Sam, the first openly gay football player to be drafted into the NFL, will speak 7:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 7, in Valhalla, Cartwright Center-Gunning Addition, on the UW-La Crosse campus.

Sam played college football at the University of Missouri, where he was named first-team All-American and Co-SEC Defensive Player of the Year. He was drafted by the St. Louis Rams. Sam has become an icon and pioneer for the LGBT community.
