MADISON - The last of 3,200 Wisconsin National Guard soldiers has returned from Iraq after a 12-month deployment, said spokeswoman Lt. Col. Jackie Guthrie.

On Sunday about 20 soldiers arrived at Dane County Regional Airport after staying behind in Kuwait to handle administrative and logistical details concerning the return of the other 32nd Infantry Brigade Combat Team soldiers, which took place in waves starting Jan. 5.

Also arriving home Sunday were 13 military intelligence soldiers, assigned to the Madison-based Company B, 32nd Brigade Special Troops Battalion. They had been at Fort Lewis, Wash., for demobilization processing after spending their year of active duty in Iraq with the 34th Infantry Division, Minnesota Army National Guard.
