HOLMEN — Nine young women are in the running for the crown at the ninth annual Miss Seven Rivers Scholarship Pageant on Saturday, starting at 4 p.m. in the Trygve Mathison Fire Arts Center at Holmen High School.

Reigning Miss Seven Rivers Zoe Roou will emcee and pass on her crown to one of the nine contestants. Also on hand for the pageant will be 2017 Miss Seven Rivers Outstanding Teen Savannah Horstman and 2017 Miss Grand Rivers’ Outstanding Teen Annie Skogen.

There won’t be an outstanding teen portion of the pageant, this year.

Miss Seven Rivers contestants this year include:

Jessica Hammer, 21, Endeavor

Brooke Doescher, 20, Wisconsin Rapids

Hayley Wolfe, 19, Portage

Olivia Ahnen, 18, Fennimore

Anastacia King, 22, Oshkosh

Ciarra Bullard, 23, La Crosse

Gabby Dachel, 20, New Richmond

Mattie Mae Krause, 20, La Crosse

Emily Phillips, 19, Sparta

Talent entries at this year’s pageant will include a three vocals, three dance performances, two monologues and a flute solo.

Miss Seven Rivers is an open pageant, which means contestants can live, work or go to school anywhere in the state. As part of the Miss America Program, contestants, who may range in age from 17 to 24, will be judged in categories that include pre-pageant interview, talent, evening gown, fitness/swimwear and onstage question.
