Valentina is a 1-year-old spayed cat who was found nearly frozen and unresponsive in January but recovered quickly and spent time healing in a foster home. Valentina’s ears will always show signs of the frostbite she recovered from, but she is a happy, chatty cat who adores attention, petting, snuggling, playing and birdwatching. Valentina likes to be the center of attention and would prefer to be the only cat in the home. She did get along well with the large dogs in her foster home and did well with the children in her foster home as well. She should do well in a home with kids of any age given parental guidance.
Simon is a 2-year-old, neutered Husky/German Shepherd mix who is current on vaccinations. He is a handsome and energetic dog. Simon does not do well being left alone in the house and would do best in a rural home where he can be around people and have a safe, warm outdoor dog house or barn to stay in when alone. Simon was mostly house trained in his previous home and should do well in a new home given time to adjust and a consistent routine. Simon may do well with another dog if given a slow introduction. A dog meet will be required at the shelter with any resident dogs to make sure it is a good match. Due to his resource guarding he will need to live in an adult only home. He is a fun and playful dog looking for a home where he has plenty to do and space to explore. He loves toys and once he’s tired would love to snuggle on the couch with you.
