Rabbi Jesus paintings by Clara Maria Goldstein of La Crosse will be displayed beginning Sunday in the gallery of Christ Episcopal Church at 111 Ninth St. N., La Crosse.

The display will open with a reception for Goldstein at 11:30 a.m. Sunday.

Goldstein, who was raised Catholic but married a Jewish man and converted to Judaism, creates her paintings not only to highlight Jesus’ Jewish heritage and the traditions he grew up with but also connect the Judaism of the Old Testament with the Christianity of the New Testament.
