Nonprofit and small business staffs are invited to a daylong team-building retreat featuring a Real Colors workshop Oct. 23 at the Franciscan Spirituality Center, 920 Market St.
“Any team can benefit by investing in themselves as it relates to communication,” said presenter Mike Hesch, director of recruitment and development at Mayo Clinic Health System-Franciscan Healthcare. “The Real Colors workshop that helps people identify their own “color” or temperament and that of their clients, peers, family and students, Hesch said. Participants can expect group activities plus individual writing and self-assessments as they learn to recognize their own and others’ strengths, learning styles, and strategies for listening and connecting with team members.
Audrey Quanrud, FSC director, said the event would be ideal for groups of three to 12 people who work together. Cost $25 per person, which includes workshop and book, refreshments and lunch, and a tour of the historic Mary of the Angels Chapel in St. Rose Convent.
