The Sparta High School graduation ceremony canceled after a safety threat is rescheduled to 7 p.m. Friday at Memorial Field.

Graduates should arrive by 6:20 p.m. and honor students and their families will be announced and seated at 6:45 p.m., according to the district.

The ceremony will move to the A.A. Gym in the event of inclement weather.

The ceremony was canceled hours before it was set to begin May 25. Authorities said Benjamin Sidie, 44, of Iowa threatened to kill estranged relatives at the graduation. He also threatened to die by suicide by cop.

He was arrested Monday in Dubuque and will be extradited to Wisconsin on a warrant.
