The 16th annual La Crosse Storytelling Festival was this past weekend.

It was two days of stories, music, food and fun.

We’d like to thank all the people who attended this great event. You are the reason we exist.

The steering committee would also like to thank all the volunteers who gave their time.

They helped with the set up and take down, manned the ticket booth, food area, bookstore, silent auction, and emceed our different stages.

Our volunteers ranged in age from teens to senior citizens. We would also like to thank our performers -- local musicians Hans Mayer and Mike Caucutt, and the international tellers, Sadarri and Company, Kevin McMullin and Andy Offutt Irwin plus juggler Doug the Jug. The talents of these people, plus our local tellers, created a perfect weekend.

The Luna Story Slam will be at the Pump House on Oct. 13.

We are looking for people who would like to join our steering committee. Contact Sara at sara.slayton@gmail.com if you are interested.
