This 1962 street view, taken by former Tribune advertising manager Howard Colvin, shows the Community Camera store, which was located at 506 Main St. At that time La Crosse had four camera stores.

Today the city has no standalone camera stores, though cameras are sold at several big box stores. Community Camera was at this location from 1953 to 1993, with the site of the store now occupied by the A&S Clothing Co.
