"Earlier today [May 18], I announced $75 million in assistance for small businesses as part of the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation's 'We're All In' initiative," Governor Tony Evers said the the May 18 Department of Health Services media briefing on COVID-19. The major new initiative combines federal CARES Act funding with specific Wisconsin programs aimed at helping small business respond to and recover from the effects of the COVID-19 health emergency. It includes $2,500 cash grants to assist with the cost of business interruption or for health and safety improvements, wages and salaries, rent, mortgages and inventory. "We know that folks need to feel safe and confident as employees and consumers for this to work, so that is why we need to be all in it together."
