Patricia Becker: 'One Person, No Vote' is must reading

From the COLLECTION: Letters, columns, cartoon and editorials from our weekend Opinion pages series

I would like to encourage everyone to go to your local library or bookstore and read the book, "One Person, No Vote," by Carol Anderson. It is unbelievable that most of this happened in my lifetime.

The worst part is that voter suppression is still going on in our great democracy today. We should rather be encouraging ALL eligible persons to vote and to have their vote counted.
