Given a choice, I believe the people of La Crosse would prefer the "Hiawatha" statue to remain in Riverside Park, rather than the "Blue Baby" sculpture. Good luck finding a popular location for the latter.
However, as others have said, a more appropriate Indian monument that reflects Native American history and culture should be considered, preferably one with both male and female figures.
As for the "Big Indian," I would recommend moving it to Grandad's Bluff, where it can stand gazing west over Prairie La Crosse and the Mississippi valley, as a reminder of those who first called this Coulee Region home.
