Kickapoo Grazing Initiative and Great River Graziers have rescheduled the Wandy Peralta pasture walk that was postponed due to flooding for Tuesday, Sept 25, at 10:30 a.m . This walk will feature grazing on a berry-production farm near Wauzeka and information about graziers interested in beginning the organic certification process with guest speaker Harriet Behar.

The topic is Specialty Crops with Grazing: Currants, Aronia, and Flowering Plants. Guest speaker Harriet Behar, longtime organic farmer and member of the NOSB, will talk about the process of organic transition.

The Wandy Peralta farm is located at 48210 Lewig Lane, Wauzeka. Directions: From Steuben: Take Hwy. 131 south about 4 miles. Left on Hilldale Road for 1 mile. Take left on Lewig Lane. Follow to the end of the lane.

Unfortunately, Jade and Ethan Proksch are unable to re-schedule their pasture walk (multi-species grazing with goats) near Genoa as they need to focus on repairing damage at the farm and preparing for winter.
