Alter-Ations, Inc., in partnership with Nelson Agri-Center Viroqua, is pleased to invite community friends to the first ever Pet Expo, a unique “one stop shopping” opportunity to experience many animal humane organizations under one roof at the same time. Each organization will provide extensive information on its animal related services, rescue and rehabilitation efforts, and pet care.

The family-friendly event is on Saturday, Oct. 20, from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Nelson Agri-Center True Value, 217 N. Center St., Viroqua.

Join in the Pet Costume Contest held throughout the day. Other activities planned are food and beverage sales, door prizes, Doggie Kissing Booth, children’s activities, professional balloon sculpting, face painting, and therapy dog meet-and-greet area. Bring your dog or cat for low-cost microchipping service offered by Alter-Ations, Inc. There will be a special appearance by Vernon County Sheriff’s Department’s Deputy Mark Bellacero and K-9 Officer Myk.

Participating agencies are Alter-Ations, Inc. Low-Cost Spay/Neuter Clinic, Tabby Town USA, Driftless Humane Society, American Standardbred Adoption Program ASAP (horse rescue), Coulee Region Humane Society Pet Therapy Program, Sparta Area Outdoor Spay Neuter Project, Capable Canines of Wisconsin and Vernon County Sheriff’s Department.
