ONALASKA — West Salem/Bangor co-op hockey freshman Bailey Martin looked comfortable.
BLACK RIVER FALLS — The West Salem/Bangor co-op wrestling team won its second straight outright Coulee Conference championship on Saturday.
The West Salem/Bangor co-op wrestling program gave itself some breathing room with a very big Coulee Conference victory Tuesday.

Sophomore Canon O’Heron scored a team-high 13 points for the Cardinals, who outscored the Tigers by five in the fourth quarter. Caleb Miller added 10 points for Bangor.
Michaela Vinz had 16 points, and the Rockets made 12 of 17 free throws. The Cardinals scored 12 points in the first quarter but just three in each of the next two quarters.
Sophomore Canon O’Heron scored a game-high 24 points for the Cardinals, who also received 13 points from junior Andrew Lockington. Bangor outscored the Rockets in every quarter.
Hunter Meyer scored three goals and assisted on another for the Panthers who scored three power-play goals to finish off the Tigers. Taylor Trapp scored twice and assisted on two more goals.
Sophomores Jordan Tallman and Courtney Langrehr scored six points each to lead the Cardinals, who trailed 23-7 at halftime and couldn’t cut into that deficit much in the second half.
Jared Ammerman (13-6) scored a 7-4 victory over Dillan Marco (12-6) at 113 to help his team win another conference dual. West Salem/Bangor’s Alex Peters improved to 18-2 at 170, and Melrose-Mindoro/G-E-T’s Jameson Kaiser to 14-3 at 285 with both getting pins.

Senior Abby Midtlien scored nine of her team’s 12 points in the fourth quarter to close out the game for the Norsemen (6-1). Bangor’s (2-4) Morgan Horstman scored 17.
Sophomore Canon O’Heron and junior Caleb Miller scored 11 and 10 points, respectively, for Bangor. Royall’s offense was able to produce at least 23 points each quarter, and Sam Murphy’s 18 points led six Panthers in double figures.
Sophomore Morgan Horstman scored 16 points to lead the Cardinals (2-3, 2-1), who struggled from the free-throw line in the fourth quarter (5-for-11), but made just enough. Olivia Hanson scored a team-high 12 points, and just missed a long 3-pointer at the buzzer for the Falcons.
