The University of Wisconsin dropped two spots to No. 6 in the final College Football Playoff rankings after the Badgers' 27-21 loss to Ohio State in Saturday's Big Ten Championship game.

Clemson maintained the top spot in the rankings, and the Tigers will play fourth-ranked Alabama in the Sugar Bowl on Jan. 1 in a national semifinal.

No. 2 Oklahoma and third-ranked Georgia will face off in the other semifinal at the Rose Bowl.

The committee ranked Ohio State fifth after much debate over whether the Buckeyes would take the No. 4 spot over the Crimson Tide.
