The Youngstown State women's basketball team has won three games in a row after beating Detroit Mercy 76-59 on Thursday, and Westby High School graduate Chelsea Olson had a big hand in the outcome.

Olson went 3-for-5 from the 3-point line and 3-for-4 from the free-throw line as her team improved to 5-7 overall in winning its Horizon League opener.

Olson, who has played in all 12 games and started twice, is averaging 5.7 points and 2.6 rebounds per game. She is shooting 41.1 percent and making 36.4 percent of her shots from the 3-point line (12-for-33) in an average of 17 minutes per game this season.
