ROCHESTER, Minn. — Casey Dunlap drew a leadoff walk and one out later Ryan Casper drove him in with a single to give the Rochester Honkers a 4-3 walk-off victory over La Crosse Wednesday night before 435 fans at Mayo Field.
The loss snapped a two-game win streak for La Crosse (9-6), which hosts Duluth at 7:05 p.m. Thursday at Copeland Park.
One night after collecting 12 hits, La Crosse managed just five hits against four Honkers pitchers. Zion Pettigrew went 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles and drove in a run for the Loggers, who are 5-5 in their last 10 games.
La Crosse’s Jon Meyerring relieved starter Ian Bedell in the sixth, and took the loss after allowing two earned runs and three hits in three innings.
