Science Day

Tomah High School physics teacher Oakley Moser shared his science knowledge during last year's Science Day at Winnebago Wednesday.

The Parenting Place sponsors Winnebago Wednesdays in Tomah at 10 a.m. TheJuly 11 session features Science Day with Tomah High School science teacher Oakley Moser and retired science teacher Larry Scheckel.

Scheckel said the July 11 session at Winnebago Park in Tomah will be "an exciting all-new presentation" with demonstrations in the science of waves and sound, electricity, motion, air pressure, Bernoulli’s Principle of Flight and Newton’s Law of Motion.

He said youngsters will witness the science of magic, Hero’s ancient steam engine, an organ pipe, a noisy water bottle, vanishing water, an Alka Selzer rocket and a calcium carbide cannon..

All children are welcome. Every attendee child will receive a free rocket balloon. A free box lunch is served at 11 a.m.
