In a few weeks Anytime Fitness will open at 1220 N. Main St. in Viroqua.
Eric and Tammy Stickney are owners of the franchise, and the facility will be managed by Chad Moeller. There will be three full-time employees and two part-time. The Stickneys also own the Anytime Fitness franchise in Sparta, which opened in April 2017. Tammy manages the Sparta location.
Eric Stickney said the facility, which is open 24/7, offers free classes, cardio equipment, free weights, strength equipment, personal training and tanning. In addition, Tammy Stickney said, the facility will offer Wexler on-demand classes on a screen in the studio room. She said Wexler has more than 100 workout programs for members to choose.
Moeller said when a person joins one Anytime Fitness facility, the membership can be used at any location. He said the Viroqua facility is offering a 30-day get started new member plan, which includes a free fitness consultation. There is also a pre-sale going on, where there is a zero enrollment fee for the first 100 people.
Construction of the Viroqua building began mid- to late-March. The gym is 5,000 square feet and the remainder of the building is 3,250 square feet. The building’s end unit will have a laundromat and the middle unit is for rent. Eric Stickney owns the construction company, T2 Contracting, which builds the strip malls that he and Tammy own.
Eric Stickney said they chose to build in Viroqua because they like the growing community.
Anytime Fitness in Viroqua will hold a grand opening July 3 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. July 3 is also the first day the facility will be open.
