TNT Gymnastics traveled to the Alliant Energy Center in Madison March 23-25 for the 2018 Wisconsin State Championships for both the Junior Olympic (J.O.) and Xcel teams.

There were 66 gymnasts in attendance from TNT who had gymnasts come together from all four training locations: Richland Center, Prairie du Chien, Mauston and Waukon, Iowa. The team as a whole had the most decorated state championships in TNT’s program history, with 19 individual event state championship titles and 16 runner-up individual event state championship titles.

TNT ended up coming home with some team banners as well Xcel Bronze Team first place out of 13 teams; Xcel Silver Team sixth place out of 28 teams; Xcel Gold Team seventh place out of 28 teams.

Results for Viroqua area athletes include Xcel Gold: Mara Anderson (Viroqua)—9.4 beam (first tie), 9.35 floor (fourth), 35.8 AA (seventh); Jewel Kleinsasser (Viola)—8.725 floor (11th); Level 8: Jade Troxel (Gays Mills)—9.0 beam (fifth), 9.225 floor (sixth). TNT Gymnastics’ competitive Xcel and J.O. Team programs are lead by Tracy Troxel, Danielle Mueller and Kristen Brooks. Coaches Troxel and Mueller look forward to growing the competitive team with adding additional training at their new facility in Prairie du Chien, as well as another permanent training location in Sauk City.
