The following accidents were reported by the Vernon County Sheriff’s Department for the week ending Feb. 26.
2-23 Daniel Hatfield, La Farge, was spreading sand for the town of Stark on Thompson Road. The truck started sliding sideways, went over the embankment, and overturned onto the passenger’s side. The truck came to rest against several trees. No injuries were reported.
2-23 Molly Crandall, Hillsboro, was backing out of a driveway on Lake Street, city of Hillsboro, and struck a vehicle parked on Lake Street, occupied by Lauren Banker, Hillsboro. No injuries were reported. Both vehicles received minor damage.
2-24 Brandon Jeffers, Viola, was traveling east on Scenic Drive, town of Forest, and hit a wet segment of the road. Jeffers overcorrected, and his vehicle rolled over. No injuries were sustained. The vehicle was towed due to disabling damage.

2-26 There were two reportable car/deer crashes: Dennis Glover, Westby, on Hwy. 14, town of Coon; Gary Nummerdor, De Soto, on Hwy. 27, town of Franklin.
